Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Dev Ops / Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS
- Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to Kubernetes / container platforms
- Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments preferred
- Strong hands‑on engineer mindset, not purely strategic or architecture-focused
- Comfortable working across infrastructure, pipelines, and environments
- Able to operate with a degree of autonomy in delivery teams
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and comfortable in fast‑paced environments
- Exposure to financial services or similar environments is preferred
- Experience with high-availability or performance-driven platforms is preferred
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructure
- Develop and manage our Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Build and optimise our CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Support our containerised environments, including Docker and Kubernetes / EKS
- Ensure platform stability, monitoring, and performance
- Support deployments, release cycles, and environment setup
- Work closely with our engineering teams to enable delivery and best practice

We are supporting a global financial services client, a hedge fund, on the hire of a mid-level AWS Dev Ops / Platform Engineer to join a high-performing technology environment in London.
This is a 12-month initial contract, inside IR35, with a rate of £550 and an ASAP start.
The role requires being onsite four days per week, and it is a hands‑on engineering position focused on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability.
