What we do. Electric Car Leasing. Why we do it. Greener. Fairer. Future. We're on a mission to get as many people into electric vehicles as possible - and we're growing the team to do it. This role is focused on our Personal Contract Hire (PCH) product, which is still evolving our salary sacrifice offering. That means you'll get real ownership over shaping how we sell it, with loads of room to grow as the product (and your career) matures.
You’ll be the friendly face and voice of Octopus Electric Vehicles for customers exploring a personal contract hire lease - getting to know what they need and helping them find the EV that's genuinely right for them. These are regulated finance products, so you’ll need to get comfortable with the technical and financial ins and outs of leasing (or be raring to learn them fast), so you can guide customers with confidence and clarity. You won’t be flying solo on targets here - this team wins together. We're looking for someone who gets a kick out of collective success and is just as invested in the team hitting its goals as their own. This role will include an uncapped commission scheme and a generous car allowance as part of the overall package and will be based in our Weybridge office 3 days a week.
What you'll do:
- Chat to customers interested in a personal contract hire EV lease, and help them find the right vehicle and product for their circumstances.
- Own the end-to-end sales pipeline - from first hello through to delivery day - and pull your weight towards the team's shared targets.
- Break down the finance and regulatory bits of PCH products in plain English, so customers know exactly what they're signing up for.
- Keep customer orders on track and keep an eye on order processing.
- Get stuck into planning and targeting new customer acquisition.
- Capture customer feedback and satisfaction so we keep making the experience better.
- Bring top-notch service to every stage - sales and after-sales alike.
- Team up with your colleagues to build pipeline, swap tips, and help build a genuinely great team culture.
- Roll with the changes as our PCH product (and how we sell it) keeps evolving.
What you’ll need:
- Sales experience, ideally in a B2C setting - SDR, software sales, or recruitment backgrounds all translate well here.
- Comfort with tech-driven sales processes (CRM, digital sales tools).
- A handle on the finance and regulatory side of leasing, or genuine enthusiasm to get up to speed fast - previous BCH, PCH, or other regulated finance product experience is a big bonus.
- A true team player - someone who's fired up by the team winning together, not just their own numbers.
- An adaptable, roll-with-it attitude - you'll be helping shape a product that's still evolving, so flexibility is key.
- Great communication skills, bags of drive, resilience, and a humble attitude.
- A curious mind and the knack for asking the right questions to match customers with the right solution.
- A genuine passion for going the extra mile for customers, plus a real interest in electric vehicles, sustainability, and/or the automotive world.
- A start-up energy - happy to adapt on the fly and keep pace with a fast-moving business.
- A constant drive to keep learning and improving, both for yourself and the team around you.
