Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy.

About the role:

Samsara interns dive into challenging, real-world projects with the same freedom and responsibility as our full-time engineers. You won't just be learning; you'll be building and making a tangible impact on our global customers from day one. You'll join a team working at a scale few engineers encounter early in their careers: over 2.3 million IoT devices deployed globally, petabytes of real-time data, and software that directly affects the safety of people doing some of the most essential work in the world.

Throughout the interview process, we will dig into your past experience, what you are most interested in learning next, and where you would be the best fit across our engineering teams. Our engineering teams use Golang for backend development, TypeScript and React for the web client, GraphQL for data access, and React Native for mobile development. Direct experience with this exact stack is not required, but experience with similar technologies is strongly encouraged.

You should apply if…

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world.
  • You want to build for scale.
  • You believe customers are more than a number.
  • You’re curious and self‑driven.
  • You’re AI‑forward.
  • You’re a collaborator.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Currently in your penultimate year of study (or second‑to‑last year of an integrated Master’s / MEng), on track to complete a Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science, with expected graduation no earlier than Summer 2028.
  • This internship is hybrid: 3 days per week in our London office.
  • This internship is a full‑time, paid experience — interns are expected not to be enrolled in school or university full‑time while working at Samsara.

In your application:

  • Include your CV / résumé.
  • Answer all of the application questions.

Hourly Base Salary:

The range of hourly base salary for this position is below. Please note that base hourly pay may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. £30.58 — £30.58 GBP

Total Rewards:

At Samsara, we build for the people who keep the global economy moving. We want owners, not passengers, which is why our rewards are designed to fuel high‑impact builders.

Flexible Working:

At Samsara, we embrace a flexible working model that caters to the diverse needs of our teams.

Belonging at Samsara:

At Samsara, we welcome everyone regardless of their background. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, and other characteristics protected by law.
