Job Overview

Impact CNC, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering top-tier machining solutions.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with expertise in precision machining, lean manufacturing, and process optimization—particularly with castings for agricultural, industrial, off-highway, and automotive markets.

As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving innovation, efficiency, and quality, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments while mentoring a high-performing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and career development opportunities.

  • Project Management
  • Oversee engineering projects from quote acceptance to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet specifications, industry standards, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Provide technical support for production challenges and drive corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with the quality department to maintain compliance with industry and customer standards.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables align with company quality objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the engineering change management and document control processes.
  • Strategic Planning & Innovation
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and market demands to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Drive innovation and technology adoption to enhance Impact CNC’s capabilities.
  • Contribute to long-term business strategies that integrate engineering advancements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in machining/manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e. g., Solid Works, Mastercam).
  • Strong knowledge of machining castings and materials used in agricultural, industrial, off-highway, and automotive markets.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven track record in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with ISO and other industry quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with robotics and automation in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Certifications in PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with CMM programming.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on call as needed.
