You’ve delivered messy portfolios, not neat ones. You’ve had to put structure into businesses where “what’s being delivered and when” wasn’t always clear. You’ve probably started using AI in your workflow already — not because someone told you to, but because it made things faster, sharper, better.
This is one where you get to build it properly. This is a new role reporting directly into the COO. The change function is less than 12 months old. There are good people, strong Product & Engineering set up, and plenty going on. What’s missing is someone to pull it together — put guardrails in place, bring clarity, and make sure delivery actually lines up with business priorities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning the full portfolio of change — multiple programmes, live at once, all needing direction
- Bringing structure to how work is prioritised, governed and delivered across the business
- Building and embedding a change framework that people actually follow (not shelfware)
- Working directly with the COO and leadership team to shape what gets done, when, and why
- Putting proper visibility in place — real-time reporting, clear RAG, no surprises
- Using AI to improve how the function operates (planning, reporting, risk, decision support)
- Protecting the Product & Engineering teams — enabling delivery without slowing them down
- Growing the team early — hiring, shaping and setting standards from day one
What they’re looking for:
- You’re already a Head of Change / Transformation / Delivery
- You’ve built or reshaped a change function before — not just run one
- SaaS environment experience is a must (scale-up is even better)
- Comfortable operating at Exec level but still able to get into the detail when needed
- You understand governance — but you don’t hide behind it
- You’ve started implementing AI into delivery workflows (however that looks today)
- You know how to bring clarity to chaos without killing pace
Why this is worth a look:
- Early-stage function — you get to define how it works
- Direct line into the COO — real influence, not filtered
- Strong Product & Engineering teams already in place
- Immediate scope to build a team around you
- Hybrid (Manchester) & Up to ÂŁ100k
- Proper opportunity to leave a mark, not just maintain something
