We’re working with an ambitious UK technology business delivering mission-critical software solutions to high-profile organisations operating in highly demanding environments. They are now looking for a Head of Platform & DevOps to lead the evolution of their cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and software delivery capability as they scale a next-generation platform.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role where you’ll shape engineering culture, modernise cloud architecture, and drive a major migration programme across infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading platform engineering and DevOps strategy across AWS environments
  • Driving a large-scale migration from Azure DevOps to GitHub Enterprise
  • Building scalable, secure, highly available cloud infrastructure
  • Championing Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevSecOps best practice
  • Establishing modern observability frameworks using tools like Grafana, Prometheus and Datadog
  • Reporting engineering and operational performance metrics directly to senior leadership
  • Mentoring and growing a high-performing engineering team

We’d love to speak with leaders who have:

  • Strong AWS expertise in enterprise or high-availability environments
  • Experience leading DevOps / Platform Engineering functions
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD and cloud-native tooling
  • A background working with JVM-based systems, microservices, and modern engineering practices
  • The ability to translate technical strategy into commercial outcomes
