Key Accountabilities
- Strategic thinking: Own the end-to-end view of the employee lifecycle, understanding all touchpoints with relevant systems (e.g. Workday) and building the vision for how processes and systems will be optimised in the future.
- Stakeholder management: Build and manage great relationships with all key stakeholders; within the People team, build awareness of how individual roles and processes are connected to overall colleague lifecycle and experience.
- Collaboration: Partner with the HCM Product Manager to understand and resolve Workday-related issues and opportunities.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the in-house SME for all People Team processes and for Workday.
- Problem solving: Understand pain points within the People Team and identify opportunities for resolution through process improvement, including use of people systems.
- Process Management: Build People Team capability in process management and improvement – support leaders in understanding and executing their accountabilities as process owners.
- Process Improvement & Optimisation: Establish approach and roadmap for process improvement / HCM enhancements in line with the overall vision for the People team and employee lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate and encourage a continuous improvement mindset across the People Team.
Person specification & Key Competencies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills – able to communicate and work effectively with colleagues at all levels, both within the People Team and more broadly across client.
- Good working knowledge of various HR processes and practices, gained through experience working in an HR function.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Resilient and works well under pressure; able to prioritise and manage workload.
- Experience working with HCM systems such as Workday is preferred.
- Ideally familiar with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean principles or Six Sigma.
- Prepared to take a hands-on approach to supporting delivery across the team.
