The Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer to help build and scale a cloud-native platform supporting highly reliable applications. Working within a DevOps-focused engineering team, you will take ownership of AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, container platforms and observability tooling, ensuring systems remain secure, scalable and highly available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform & Infrastructure
    • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
    • Manage Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) workloads, ingress, TLS and load balancing.
    • Package and deploy applications using Docker.
  • DevOps & Automation
    • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or similar).
    • Manage infrastructure using Terraform.
    • Support backend services using Redis and Kafka (Amazon MSK).
    • Manage AWS RDS (PostgreSQL) including performance optimisation, backups and disaster recovery.
    • Develop reporting and analytics pipelines.
  • Security & Observability
    • Implement monitoring using CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana.
    • Maintain logging and auditing frameworks including CloudTrail and VPC Flow Logs.
    • Support vulnerability management and security best practices (OWASP, SOC2, ISO 27001).

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE.
  • Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Terraform, Python, Redis and Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, monitoring and automation.
