Are you a commercially driven retail sales professional with a track record of opening new accounts and building lasting retail partnerships? We are working with an established and growing supplier of premium stationery and licensed consumer products, seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across key UK retail channels. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial instinct with the ability to build genuine relationships and bring products to life with retail buyers.

The Role

Focused on the South and Midlands, you'll be responsible for identifying, winning and developing new retail partnerships across channels including:

  • Gift retail
  • Garden centres
  • Travel retail
  • Toy retail
  • Lifestyle and specialist retail

This is a role for someone who enjoys the thrill of opening doors but equally understands that long-term success comes from nurturing accounts and building trusted partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and secure new retail accounts across target sectors
  • Develop and execute a clear business development strategy across your territory
  • Build relationships with buyers and decision-makers across independent and multi-site retail groups
  • Present premium and licensed product ranges in a compelling, commercially relevant way
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, listings and promotional opportunities
