The Role
We are looking to recruit a Shop Manager (Fixed Term Part Time; 22.5 hours per week - 3 days over 6 days) to join our Northern Ireland Retail team in Vincent's Downpatrick IS. The post holder will manage a St Vincent de Paul charity shop, focusing on sales maximisation, productivity, revenue, and customer service while ensuring compliance with SVP retail standards, health and safety, legislation, and organisational values.
Education
- Essential: 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
- Desirable: Third‑level qualification in a business‑related field or equivalent.
Experience
- Essential: Minimum of 3 years experience in a customer‑facing retail environment.
- Experience managing or working with a diverse team.
- Experience working towards sales targets.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience producing and analysing sales reports.
- Desirable: Experience gained in the community or voluntary sector.
- Desirable: Proven experience as a retail manager with strong track record in store standards and customer service delivery.
- Desirable: Experience managing and organising events.
Skills
- Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
