Responsibilities

About the team: Distribution & Credit Solutions (DCS) is a joint venture between our Markets and Investment Banking business lines, combining our capabilities in the credit space. Working closely with Origination and Credit Portfolio Management to derisk the Bank in primary (Syndication) and secondary (Trading) while also looking at Fund Financing and Securitisation activities for clients of the Bank (corporates, financial institutions, fund managers) leveraging a united credit sales team. Credit Trading within DCS covers flow, structured credit and loans with their respective financing under unified credit trading books across Europe, America and APAC.

Hiring Requirements

We are looking to appoint a Director in CEEMEA Emerging Markets Credit Trading who has established market contacts and credentials to be able to immediately further develop our No 1 Ranked business in this area. The role will provide ample flexibility and scope for the individual to develop this offering how they see fit, utilising resources from across the Bank. Summary of Key Purposes / Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Market Making Hard Currency (US $ / Euro) Emerging Market Bonds in CEEMEA
  • Generation of consistent volumes and revenue
  • Maintain close dialogue with management to ensure activities are in line with the needs of the Bank
  • Liaise with sales and research to ensure relevance of proposed business aligning the desk to client needs
  • Build close working relationship with DCM and origination to ensure optimum opportunities for distribution

Profile required

  • Proven track record in Credit / Rates trading across CEEMEA Emerging Markets
  • Fixed income product knowledge
  • Knowledge of Emerging Market geopolitics and market dynamics
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrable ability to interact effectively at all levels with key decision makers across many different teams across the Bank
  • Ability to develop relationships based on trust and professionalism
  • Excellent analytical skills with an aptitude for numbers and strong attention to detail
  • Solution focused, service orientated and proactive
  • Capability to prioritise with the ability to work independently on multiple conflicting priorities
