Summary of Key Purposes of the Role Originate and execute acquisition finance and credit/ESG rating advisory mandates with corporate clients covered out of London.
Provide integrated debt structuring, capital structure, rating advisory and acquisition finance solutions to key clients of the bank, promoting SG's offer in loan and capital markets, in close cooperation with coverage and corporate finance.
Represent AFG in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide advisory to our client base.
Responsibilities Support the team's efforts in effective coverage of clients: In conjunction with GBIS business lines, pitch targeted clients to originate acquisition finance, credit and ESG rating advisory mandates, and provide guidance on debt structuring, capital structure and rating matters.
Participate in the preparation and delivery of multi‑product pitches and execution, assisting in the development of structured marketing plans.
Produce and/or participate in the production of timely and accurate financial models, marketing material/pitches, and credit/rating analyses.
Develop and maintain a track record of mandates: Assess feasibility of transactions/mandates, including underwriting and capital commitment, in light of available resources and profitability metrics.
Produce and draft mandates, term sheets, and legal documentation in conjunction with external/internal counsel (where applicable), negotiating such documents in close consultation with senior AFG professionals.
Ensure effective and responsible execution of mandates: Participate in mandate/deal execution in a timely manner, in full compliance with SG's internal procedures and in close contact with back‑office managers when applicable.
Assist in due diligence where applicable.
Ensure continued usage of appropriate presentation, credit, rating, underwriting and legal documentation per prevailing compliance standards, acting responsibly within agreed credit risk limits.
Ensure all internal and regulatory procedures are adhered to, including compliance with Chinese walls, insider lists, conflict checks, KYC, MIFID (when relevant) and all related aspects.
Respect operational risk guidelines and internal compliance rules and SG's code of conduct.
Support development of advisory and product offering in line with AFG's strategy and priorities: Deliver solid modelling and financing material.
Develop and promote AFG and the acquisition finance/rating advisory franchise/products with clients and within SG.
Keep abreast of new market, sector and methodology developments, leveraging them internally and with clients to implement origination strategies.
Support internal dialogue with colleagues to provide best‑in‑class advisory to the client base: Establish close cooperation between AFG and other GBIS business lines to provide clients with innovative financing/rating solutions and best execution.
Actively seek opportunities to cross‑sell SG's full product range.
Support the development of the AFG franchise in line with GLBA's and SG Group's strategy and priorities: Report to AFG management and COO information related to ongoing transactions, including permanent supervision, exposure management and escalation of problems.
Provide AFG management with a full and accurate view of pipeline deals via appropriate reporting tools.
