The Syndicate (SYN) team acts as an intermediary between issuer clients and investor clients. The role of SYN is to advise on pricing, to define an execution strategy, to distribute bond issuance through Fixed Income sales, and on occasion manage the unsold portion of a deal. Most of the deals brought to the market by SYN are done on a best effort basis (sized and priced to demand).

- Helping the corporate team to prepare pricing using Zeus
- Managing the database of market deals
- Production of analytics and statistics
- Supporting with preparation of presentations for internal clients under the supervision of a senior person
- Supporting in transaction execution
- Helping to produce and update internal documentation
Summary Of Responsibilities
- Updating the database
- Basic pricing and preparation (under the supervision of a senior person)
- Working in collaboration with the middle office
- Working with SYN support to ensure smooth settlement of transactions
- Basic monitoring of the PnL of the desk
- Assisting with ad hoc administrative tasks as required
- Assisting with Roadshow organisation
- Gathering feedback through discussions with Fixed Income sales
Competencies
- The ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent in a Finance-related subject
- They should be able to demonstrate a good basic knowledge of financial markets and products
- Good level of competency in mathematics
- Knowledge of bonds / bond mathematics highly advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent communication and presentational skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to manage own workload and take initiative to work autonomously where required
- Ability to organise own time and work to strict deadlines in a busy office environment
- Additional European language skills advantageous
