About The Role
As a Trainee within our UK Corporate Sales desk, you’ll work closely with experienced sales professionals covering leading UK and multinational corporates. You’ll help deliver tailored risk management solutions across FX and interest rates while developing a strong understanding of financial markets. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to front-office activity within a fast-paced Global Markets environment, combining analytics, client interaction and market insight.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing market updates, client presentations and marketing materials
- Supporting the pricing of FX and interest rate derivative solutions
- Conducting market and client research to support business development
- Liaising with key stakeholders across the business, including Trading, Structuring, DCM, and Relationship Managers
- Coordinating with support functions (Legal, Compliance, Middle & Back Office)
- Assisting with KYC, onboarding and account opening processes
- Monitoring and maintaining client data, deal pipelines and internal systems
- Helping resolve payment and confirmation queries
- Enhancing and maintaining Excel-based tools and spreadsheets
You’ll also collaborate across other Corporate Sales desks in London, gaining broad exposure across product areas.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- A minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent)
- Interest in financial markets, FX and interest rates
- Strong analytical and mathematical ability with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
Highly Valued
- Previous experience or internships within financial services
- Coding or technical skills (advantageous but not essential)
