Own the end-to-end programme management of UK Early Careers initiatives, including Graduate, Intern, Apprentice, Trainee and other junior pipelines. Manage the training pathway for the Graduate Programme alongside our partner vendor. Manage the delivery of UK Development Programmes (or ad-hoc Group programme nominations and requests). Develop, maintain and manage integrated annual programme calendars aligned to business and recruitment cycles. Ensure programmes are delivered consistently, on time and within agreed scope and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Programme Portfolio Management
- Own the end-to-end programme management of UK Early Careers initiatives, including Graduate, Intern, Apprentice, Trainee and other junior pipelines.
- Manage the training pathway for the Graduate Programme alongside our partner vendor.
- Manage the delivery of UK Development Programmes (or ad-hoc Group programme nominations and requests).
- Develop, maintain and manage integrated annual programme calendars aligned to business and recruitment cycles.
- Ensure programmes are delivered consistently, on time and within agreed scope and budgets.
- Programme Delivery & Coordination
- Lead the planning, coordination and execution of programme cohorts, including scheduling, logistics, materials and communications.
- Coordinate with Recruitment, HRBPs and business stakeholders to align programme delivery with hiring plans and development priorities.
- Manage programme communications in partnership with internal Communications teams.
- Monitor attendance, participation and completion, ensuring accurate records and documentation are maintained.
- Programme Advisory & Manager Guidance
- Provide programme-specific advisory support to participants and line managers in relation to Early Careers and Development Programmes, including guidance on programme structure, milestones, expectations and development pathways.
- Support managers with practical guidance and tools to enable effective development, feedback and progression of programme participants.
- Act as a point of contact for programme-related queries from participants and managers, escalating complex employee relations, wellbeing or performance matters to HR Business Partners as appropriate.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Learning colleagues to support consistent application of programme frameworks.
- Capture and share participant and manager feedback to inform continuous improvement of programme delivery.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with external training and assessment providers to coordinate programme delivery and logistics.
- Ensure vendors deliver against agreed scope, quality and timelines.
- Raise and escalate delivery or quality issues as required, in partnership with the Head of Talent Acquisition and Development.
- Support contract and supplier processes in line with SG policy and governance.
- Apprenticeships
- Act as strategic owner of the UK apprenticeship framework, ensuring the appropriate infrastructure, governance and provider relationships are in place.
- Partner with HR, Learning and Talent stakeholders to explore opportunities to better leverage the apprenticeship levy in support of upskilling and reskilling aligned to future skills priorities.
- Provide oversight and coordination when apprenticeship activity is deployed.
- Budget & Reporting
- Manage programme budgets, tracking costs, commitments and spend against agreed forecasts in conjunction with the Head of Talent Acquisition, Early Careers Recruitment Lead, and offshore teams.
- Maintain accurate programme records, including attendance, completion and cost data.
- Provide regular reporting on programme delivery, uptake and key metrics.
- Support post-programme evaluation and review activity.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve programme delivery efficiency, participant experience and operational effectiveness, considering both programme improvements and offshore support.
- Contribute to programme reviews and enhancements in partnership with Learning, Talent, Recruitment and Experience colleagues.
- Support the evolution of programmes in line with business needs and future skills priorities.
Required Profile
- Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in programme or project management within Learning & Development, Early Careers or Talent environments.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple programmes in parallel.
- Experience coordinating stakeholders across HR, Recruitment and the business.
- Familiarity with training delivery models, logistics and external vendor coordination.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to track delivery, budgets and timelines accurately.
- Confident communicator with the ability to provide clear guidance to managers and participants.
- Experience working in a regulated or complex corporate environment (desirable).
