The trader will be a team member of the FX Options trading desk, representing the bank in OTC FX Options Markets.
- Act as market maker for vanilla and semi-exotic products within the FX Options perimeter.
- Gain intelligence on markets and comprehensive knowledge of the products dealt with.
- Price FX options and book them accordingly.
- Manage the book and hedge risk appropriately.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop SG image/presence on the market through trading volumes and market presence.
- Propose new products in collaboration with financial engineering teams and sales force.
- Support sales staff through client pitches and actively contribute to business development.
- Develop trading strategies.
- Assist in developing pricing models.
- Specify or develop IT tools (automatons, pricing engines…).
- Project management (e.g., IT projects).
- Provide pricing in other currency pairs during holidays or sickness.
- Provide sales desks with trade ideas and currency flows to increase sales business.
- Record all trades in line with procedures.
- Act on any compliance breach immediately with full explanation.
- Liaise between front and middle office to ensure smooth deal processing.
Other Duties:
- Hierarchical management of permanent staff or trainees.
- Business coordination or supervisory activities.
- Manage the education and career paths of junior team members.
- Ensure counterparty trades are within credit limits.

- Ensure compliance with operational and conduct risk requirements (e.g., data leakage, security policies and regulatory requirements).
- Adhere to individual and, where applicable, department conduct rules in accordance with the FCA and PRA Code of Conduct rules.
- Manage, control, prepare and escalate risk within the scope of your position and in line with existing policies.
- Ensure that you are fully aware of, understand and comply with all regulatory requirements from all regulatory and statutory bodies, trading venues, etc. that are applicable to your role and business line.
- Assist in self-identification of all conduct related issues and ensure escalation to appropriate stakeholder or function whether internal or external.
- Adhere to business line mandates relevant to the role as directed by your manager.
Requirements:
- Investment banking/financial services industry knowledge and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact convincingly at all levels with key decision makers in various business lines, management and control functions across the bank.
- Ability to work independently on multiple conflicting priorities and under pressure until completion.
