The aim of our Service Unit (GBTO) is to deliver day-to-day services to our Global Banking & Investor Solutions (GBIS) Business Units and their clients to accelerate the transformation. GBTO is organised under the following structure:
- A transversal client group
- Eight service and product orientated entities
- A transversal data entity
- Seven centres of expertise
The GBTO/COO (Chief Operating Officer of GBTO) department is responsible for assisting the GBTO department in the overall management of the GBTO Service Unit, defining its strategy and ensuring the successful execution of its transformation. It offers support to GBTO management through a wide range of service offerings (Transformation and Financial Steering) and is also responsible for the UK platform of the Corporate Real Estate (CRE), Facilities Management and Sourcing Activities.
Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:
The key purpose of the role is to provide adequate support to GBTO/COO and the wider UK Executive Committee by leading several transversal topics which sit within the COO function and ultimately help GBTO in executing their strategic plans. This includes assisting the decision making of the Head of GBTO UK with precise and accurate data reporting and achieving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Chief Operating Officer of GBTO in the UK
- Contribute to the definition of the strategy of GBTP UK (OKR, C&C, HR, Financial trajectory, …), its implementation and follow up
- Coordination of organizational change management initiatives on behalf of the GBTO COO UK
- Communication – organisation of various initiatives for the department
- People engagement – contribute to definition and implementation of the strategy
- Review and update the SMF handover pack, including ToR documents of committees
- Contribute to the definition and monitoring of the GBTP financial strategy
- GBTO UK staff plan follow up, new joiner integration, and training strategy for the whole unit
- Facilitate the development, coordination, communication, and accomplishment of short and long-term objectives
- Establish solid working relationships with key stakeholders (Tribe managers, main partners such as Compliance, Legal, HR, BU ...)
- Monitor and update Monthly Training, Travel and Overtime reports
- Coordinate transversal exercises / ad-hoc studies when required
Profile required:
- Degree educated within business, finance or IT related field
- Ability to communicate convincingly at all levels with key decision makers in the relevant business lines and elsewhere within the investment bank
- Capacity to drive and accompany change
- Ability to manage multiple and varied subjects
- Strong written documentation abilities and experience with spreadsheets
- Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Team player with good coordination skills (across and between the teams in GBTP and the business)
- Understanding of Investment Banking market activities
- Compliant with confidentiality requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for following matters through to completion
- Solution-focused, service-oriented and proactive
