An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker to join a forward-thinking Adult Social Care team. This role is ideal for a qualified professional ready to take the next step in their career by leading practice, supervising others, and managing complex cases within a supportive and dynamic environment.
The Role:As a Senior Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Holding a complex caseload and managing higher levels of risk while ensuring person-centred outcomes.
Providing formal and informal supervision, coaching, and mentoring to social care staff.
Supporting the delivery of strengths-based assessments and early intervention work.
Driving quality assurance and contributing to audit and service improvement activity.
Representing the service in multi-agency meetings and panels, ensuring agreed actions are implemented.
Supporting lone working procedures and operational team duties, including the OT Duty service.
You’ll be a confident and capable practitioner who:
Holds a degree in Social Work and is registered with Social Work England.
Has at least 2-3 years' post-qualifying experience in adult services.
Possesses expert knowledge of social care legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care planning frameworks.
Has experience in mentoring, supervision, and supporting team development.
Understands performance frameworks and can confidently use data to drive improvement.
Demonstrates strong communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
