Job Title: Senior Social Worker - Early Help and Prevention

Location: Hybrid / KentSalary: £45,830- £51,130Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentClosing Date: 20 July 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker to join a forward-thinking Adult Social Care team. This role is ideal for a qualified professional ready to take the next step in their career by leading practice, supervising others, and managing complex cases within a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Role:

As a Senior Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Holding a complex caseload and managing higher levels of risk while ensuring person-centred outcomes.

  • Providing formal and informal supervision, coaching, and mentoring to social care staff.

  • Supporting the delivery of strengths-based assessments and early intervention work.

  • Driving quality assurance and contributing to audit and service improvement activity.

  • Representing the service in multi-agency meetings and panels, ensuring agreed actions are implemented.

  • Supporting lone working procedures and operational team duties, including the OT Duty service.

About You:

You’ll be a confident and capable practitioner who:

  • Holds a degree in Social Work and is registered with Social Work England.

  • Has at least 2-3 years' post-qualifying experience in adult services.

  • Possesses expert knowledge of social care legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care planning frameworks.

  • Has experience in mentoring, supervision, and supporting team development.

  • Understands performance frameworks and can confidently use data to drive improvement.

  • Demonstrates strong communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
