About the Role
AfC is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Safeguarding Team in Richmond. This role is perfect for senior practitioners who want to remain in frontline practice, manage complex cases, and mentor social workers in court work and Child Protection cases.
You will:
- Manage a complex caseload of Child Protection, pre-proceedings, and court cases
- Support and develop social workers’ skills in court work and permanency planning
- Deputise for Team Leaders when required
- Ensure practice meets statutory guidance and evidence-based standards
About You
- Degree-level social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, MA SW, BA Hons SW)
- Active Social Work England registration
- Extensive experience in Child Protection, court work, and permanency planning
- Strong knowledge of statutory legislation (e.g., Children Act)
