Shift Pattern: Flexible/As required; Monday to Sunday. This is a 24‑hour service with a mix of early shifts, late shifts and waking night shifts.
Overview: Join our brand new Mental Health Service set to go live in April 2026. The 11‑bedded, community‑based mental health crisis and step‑down service offers short‑stay, trauma‑informed support to residents at risk of admission. The team works to help residents overcome personal barriers, achieve goals, and live more fulfilled and independent lives.
Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and compassionate Recovery Worker to deliver flexible, tailored, person‑centred support. You will build trusting relationships, support reintegration into the community, and play a vital role in facilitating residents’ recovery journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and review tailored support plans through one‑to‑one sessions, group sessions, and multi‑agency meetings.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times.
- Provide safe, 24/7 short‑stay support to avoid unnecessary hospital admission.
- Empower residents to take control of their lives and meet their personal goals.
- Offer step‑down capacity for individuals ready to leave acute wards but not yet ready for independent living.
- Embed Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs) and relational security practices.
- Plan and facilitate activities that engage residents with others, communities, and opportunities.
- Complete handovers for night colleagues to ensure a seamless service.
- Support residents with medication management and maintain accurate records using the online portal.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns promptly.
