Join the Trustee Board at Bankside Open Spaces Trust and help support the financial sustainability of community green spaces across South London. We are seeking a Trustee with financial skills or experience to join our Board and Finance Sub‑Committee. This voluntary role will support strategic financial oversight, governance and long‑term planning. We are due to start our multi‑million capital project involving both external works and a new sports hub at the Marlborough Sports Garden. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Steering Group.
Qualifications and Experience
- Finance or accounting
- Budget management
- Financial planning or forecasting
- Charity or public sector finance
You do not need previous trustee experience. We are especially keen to hear from people from Black and Global Majority candidates and others currently under‑represented on charity boards.
Location: Southwark and Lambeth
Commitment: Approximately 4–6 Board meetings annually plus quarterly finance meetings
Expenses: Reasonable expenses reimbursed
