We’re looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our busy charity, Social Farms & Gardens, to make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives. You will have a flair for organisation, excellent communication skills and be able to inspire the team with your creative ideas and practical know‑how.
Responsibilities
- Plan, budget, schedule and run the charity’s seasonal events programme, including at least four events every year in April, June, October and December (the Farm Fairs).
- Coordinate event logistics, liaise with suppliers, manage the team of interns and ensure events run smoothly.
- Support fundraising and community engagement activities related to events.
Qualifications
- Experience in planning and coordination of events.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and lead a team.
Employment Details
- Contract type: 12 months
- Hours: 17.5 hours per week, potential for flexible working month to month.
- Busy periods: March–June and September–December.
- Usual hours 9–5, Monday to Friday; flexibility and weekend work required during events.
- Salary: £27,803 pro‑rata (£15.28 per hour). For a 17.5‑hour week, salary pro‑rated to £13,902 per annum.
- Probation: 3 months
