Lambourne End Centre is looking for a Customer Services Support Assistant to carry out receptionist and shop duties, welcoming groups, answering phone calls, responding to queries, updating booking information and monitoring feedback.
The Centre is a fantastic 54‑acre site in south‑west Essex. Its scenic rural setting, yet on the doorstep of East London’s urban fringe, offers a unique resource. The Centre boasts residential accommodation, training facilities, outdoor adventure activities, a garden project and a working farm with dedicated environmental areas. These facilities support a wide range of programmes that promote personal development for young people, especially those at risk or struggling in traditional mainstream environments. The programmes encourage team building, problem solving, communication skills, confidence, and aspirations.
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming groups and guests to the Centre
- Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries
- Managing booking information and shop duties
- Monitoring and forwarding feedback and issues
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a retail environment
- Experience dealing with customers in person, on the telephone and via email
- Proficient IT skills and high standard of written English
- Good organisational skills
Schedule & Requirements:
The post is a 14‑hour week, working weekends from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Additional hours may be available during the week. Due to the nature of the work, the post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
