Overview
Social Factor is a social media agency seeking great moderation talent in the United Kingdom. We offer flexible schedules and opportunities on a project/gig or part-time basis. Some work may be 24/7, so we may have opportunities for early birds or night owls.
Role: Social Media Community Moderator β Remote UK. The Community Moderator will work to develop strong, growing digital communities for some of the worldβs most well-known brands as work becomes available. When a match exists, a Social Factor team member will reach out to discuss availability and interest.
Location: Remote in the United Kingdom. Language: English and additional languages such as German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean and Japanese may be required depending on the project.
All qualified applicants will be asked to complete a Community Moderation assessment at initial screening. Completion and passing the assessment is required to work at Social Factor in this role but does not guarantee employment.
Responsibilities

- Develop and moderate digital communities for client brands, engaging with users in real-time and troubleshooting as needed.
- Understand and mirror the brand voice across multiple brands; engage with users appropriately and professionally.
- Monitor social media conversations on major platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Analyze social media metrics to inform community management strategies.
- Coordinate with clients or internal teams using digital project management tools (e.g., Asana, JIRA, Mavenlink, Basecamp); familiarity is a plus.
- Maintain strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain high standards of spelling and grammar; participate in skills assessments as part of final candidate evaluation.
Qualifications
- Native-level understanding of language.
- Deep understanding of language-specific pop culture, nomenclature, cultural references, and slang.
- Able to understand client brand voice and accurately engage with users.
- Previous social media moderation experience is required.
- Experience with Sprinklr, Khoros, and/or Sprout Social is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to mirror voice/tone across brands.
- Excellent spelling and grammar; a skills test will be given for final candidates.
- Strong willingness to learn, critical thinking, and proactive approach.
- High energy with the ability to multitask in a growing organization.
- Experience with major social platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Ability to analyze social media metrics.
- Experience with digital project management tools is a plus.
- Minimum operating systems: Windows 10 and macOS 12.x; high-speed internet (minimum 150 Mbps).
