Social Chameleon is a social media lab - not an agency. We don’t follow trends, we identify them. We trademarked “search-first social media” before the industry even had a name for it. Right now we’re calling social commerce as the next major platform shift, and we need someone to help us say it loudly. Our services span social media management, influencer marketing and creative. We work with globally recognised brands and we’re growing fast.
This is a rare role for someone who wants to build a brand, not manage one. You’ll be our first dedicated internal marketing hire, working directly with the founders to make Social Chameleon the most visible, credible voice in social media marketing. You won’t be executing someone else’s strategy - you’ll be building ours. That means turning our client wins, research, and forward-thinking POV into content and campaigns that drive inbound business and reduce our reliance on paid acquisition.
What You’ll Own
- Thought leadership & content: Turn our research, ‘experiments’, and industry POV into a consistent content engine - reports, LinkedIn, newsletters, and industry commentary that builds our reputation as the lab that calls things first. This includes working with some of the more senior members of our team to hone their personal brand so that we may leverage this for agency growth.
- Drive channel growth & performance: Collaborate with social end creative teams to grow on presence across Instagram, TikTok & LinkedIn. Liaise with content writers and contractors to grow website visibility across search and AI.
- Social commerce narrative: Own and amplify our thesis on social commerce as the next major platform shift. Position Social Chameleon as the go-to agency for brands wanting to move early - before the market catches up.
- Case studies & proof points: Transform our work with brands like Xiaomi, Dewalt, and BKT into sharp, data-led stories that win the attention of similar-scale brands in pitch situations and beyond.
- Awards & PR: Own our entry calendar for the industry’s most relevant awards (The Drum, Campaign, Influencer Marketing Awards) and build relationships with trade press to keep Social Chameleon visible in the right conversations.
- Inbound lead generation: Reduce our dependence on paid acquisition by building an organic pipeline - working towards a point where our reputation, content, and visibility do the heavy lifting.
- Events & speaking: Identify and secure speaking opportunities for the founding team at relevant industry events. Build our presence at the conferences where our prospective clients are sitting.
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5 years in a marketing or content role, ideally at a digital or social agency
- A strong writer - you can turn complex ideas into sharp, compelling copy
- Genuine interest in social media, creators, and platform trends - you don’t need to be told to stay current
- Comfortable working autonomously - this is a first hire, not a team to join
- Data-literate: you understand performance metrics and can build a reporting framework
- Experience with awards submissions or trade PR is a strong plus
- A track record of building something - a newsletter, a content programme, a brand presence
- Hungry: you want to grow with the business, not maintain it
