At Social Care Wales, we provide leadership and expertise in social care and early years in Wales. Our vision is to make a positive difference to care and support for children, adults, and their families and carers.

To achieve this, we lead on developing and regulating the social care workforce, service improvement, and data and research to improve care. Through our quality assurance work, we support social work educators in both education and practice settings, ensuring the highest level of training for the next generation of social workers.

We are now looking for a Delivery Manager to join us on a 2-year fixed term contract, working 36 hours per week. This role is offered with flexible working options, and we will consider candidates as part of a job share.

You must be based in the UK to apply for this role and be able to visit one of the stated offices when required.

The Benefits

The Role

As a Delivery Manager, you will lead the delivery of cross-functional projects and services within our Professional Regulation Portfolio.

Specifically, you will co-ordinate agile teams to keep delivery on track, while overseeing workloads, mentoring staff, and ensuring consistent performance.

Beyond this, you will work with a range of stakeholders, internally and externally, to manage project risks, support collaboration, and drive each programme to deliver value in line with its vision and goals.

Additionally, you will:

  • Apply agile and/or lean practices to lead and motivate teams
  • Facilitate clear communication with customers and internal colleagues
  • Allocate resources effectively and manage delivery risk

About You

To be considered as a Delivery Manager, you will need:

  • A proven track record in agile and/or lean delivery practices
  • Experience in motivating and co-ordinating cross-functional teams
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • The ability to clearly present complex information to senior stakeholders
  • A strong customer focus and commitment to quality service
  • Knowledge of the Digital Service Standard for Wales
  • A relevant degree or project management qualification
