About the
Role: This is an excellent opportunity for two passionate and dedicated individuals to work collaboratively with our young people.
You will play a crucial role in supporting and empowering young people currently in care, as well as those who have left care and are eligible for leaving care services.
Through practical and planned interventions, you will help them make a successful transition to adulthood.
Working with care leavers can be a very rewarding role in being able to support and help a young person make change in their lives and continue their current pathway to independent living.
At times our care leavers require a little more support, which might see a personal advisor attend meetings for education, housing, benefits, health, or general catch up for a chat.
As a personal advisor you will sign post a young person for services.
You will be required to work in the office at least 3 days per week.
Core hours are 09:00am - 17:00pm, although this is dependent upon when a young person can meet with you.
Young people live in Southwark, surrounding areas, out of London, are in University and can be out of the area due to risk.
Your visits will therefore see a change to your core hours.
You require knowledge and skills in working with looked after children and care leavers.
