This North London Authority are looking for a Head of Council Tax & Financial Assessment to work within Residential Services. Details of the role are:

  • To act as the Council’s lead officer on all Council Tax and Financial matters.
  • To provide assurance that the Council is delivering high-performing, well-managed, strategic Revenues and Benefits services.
  • Council Tax administration and collection.
  • Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support administration.
  • To direct, lead and manage the provision of high quality, cost-effective services to the Council for the delivery of Revenues and Benefit services and to ensure that the Council’s policy objectives in relation to Revenues and Benefits are met.
  • The post holder will lead all aspects of the Revenues and Benefits operations, ensuring the customer is at the heart of the services.
  • Administration of Financial assessments (Adult Social Care).
  • Administration of appointeeships and deputyships, blue badges, 13A Payments.
  • Assume financial responsibility for subsidy management.
  • To deputise for the Director of Resident service in their absence.
