Full-time, Permanent, School Chef / Cook job vacancy in Reading, Berkshire. Term Time Only.

Your Role: As their Chef, you will work as part of a team to provide nutritious and healthy meals for the children and young people they support. You will be responsible for menu planning, considering the diverse dietary requirements of the young people, and working with the specialist therapy team to develop suitable menus. You will also line manage a team, ensuring proper induction, training, and support, while also being hands-on in your role.

Key Information:

  • £13.14 per hour - £14.72 per hour / £23,500 - £26,300 Actual Salary
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Term Time Only
  • Experience working in a catering environment (school, residential, or healthcare setting)
  • Experience catering for complex dietary needs
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and food hygiene procedures
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene – preferred
