The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader on a temporary contract (up to 12 months) to join our care services in Hinckley. You will lead a team of care staff, ensuring the consistent delivery of high‑quality care in line with regulatory standards, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This role is hands‑on and involves supporting both your team and service users directly, while overseeing day‑to‑day operations, staff development, and compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of care staff, including recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure services deliver person‑centred care that maximises independence, choice, and control.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and organise staff rotas to meet service requirements, including flexible working patterns.
  • Develop strong relationships with service users, families, advocates, and external partners.
  • Oversee the safe management of service resources, facilities, and medication administration.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and respond to enquiries or complaints professionally.
  • Promote inclusion, respect for diversity, and adherence to safeguarding procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a care setting, preferably with residential, supported living, or community services.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep‑in shifts when required.
