Social Care & Education are looking for dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team in the Leicester area.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will deliver person-centred care and support to help service users maintain independence and quality of life. Your duties will include:
- Personal care – supporting with general hygiene and maintaining privacy and dignity at all times.
- Mealtimes - Assisting with food and drink preparation and supporting residents with feeding where necessary.
- Supporting with mobility – including the use of hoists, stand aids, and other mobility equipment.
- Engaging in activities – encouraging participation in hobbies, interests, and social interactions to promote wellbeing and reduce isolation.
- Providing emotional support and companionship
Key Responsibilities
- Provide the highest standard of care, supporting with all aspects of daily living.
- Assist service users with limited mobility, using hoists and other aids safely and effectively.
- Accurately record and update care notes using the PCS recording system.
- Support and encourage service users to engage in hobbies, interests and social activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, ensuring continuity and consistency of care.

- A minimum of 3 months’ experience in a similar care role.
- Experience with hoisting and manual handling.
- Experience using the PCS recording system.
- Reliability, honesty, and strong communication skills.
