A well established SEN School are looking for a Pastoral Manager to join the team. We are seeking a committed Pastoral Manager to play a key role in ensuring our pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. This role leads our pastoral systems, coordinates multi‑agency support around each child, and promotes positive behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing. By taking a trauma‑informed, relationship‑focused approach, the Pastoral Manager helps remove barriers to learning and ensures every young person can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Responsibilities:
- Ensuring effective multi‑agency working, coherent support plans, and strong communication across the school.
- Lead on the school delivering pastoral and behaviour approaches, using trauma‑informed and relational methods to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
- Monitor and improve attendance and welfare, including early help strategies, home visits, and removing barriers to engagement.
- Act as a key safeguarding lead, identifying concerns, maintaining rigorous records, and working in line with KCSIE and statutory guidance.
- Build strong relationships with pupils and families, offering emotional support, regular communication, and solution‑focused approaches.
- Use data and reporting to inform practice, track patterns in behaviour/attendance, and contribute to school improvement and compliance.
