We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Regulatory Compliance Officer to support our portfolio of nursing and residential care homes across the East Midlands. This role is ideal for a former CQC Inspector or an experienced quality and compliance professional with an in-depth understanding of adult social care regulations, governance, and quality assurance frameworks.

About the Role

As Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will lead on mock CQC inspections, quality audits, and regulatory oversight across our nursing homes. You will work closely with Home Managers and senior leadership teams to drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance, and ensure excellent standards of care are consistently delivered. The successful candidate will have the confidence and expertise to identify areas of risk, provide practical guidance, and support services in achieving positive inspection outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mock CQC inspections across nursing and residential homes
  • Assess services against CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs), quality statements, and regulatory standards
  • Produce detailed inspection reports with clear action plans and recommendations
  • Support Home Managers to improve compliance, governance, and care quality
  • Monitor safeguarding, medication management, staffing, care planning, and risk management processes
  • Identify regulatory risks and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Support services before and after CQC inspections
  • Deliver coaching, guidance, and compliance training to management teams
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience as a CQC Inspector, Quality Inspector, or Compliance Manager within adult social care
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and inspection frameworks
  • Experience within nursing homes and elderly care services
  • Excellent report-writing, auditing, and analytical skills
  • Confidence influencing and supporting senior management teams
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to travel regularly across the East Midlands

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive experience in health and social care compliance
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Strong understanding of governance and quality assurance systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Location
