We’re recruiting an experienced and passionate Senior Support Worker / Team Leader to join a specialist adult care service in Worcester, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviours. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on additional responsibility, lead by example, and make a genuine difference to the lives of the people they support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the care team during shifts
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with Learning Disabilities
- Support individuals who may display challenging behaviours
- Promote independence, choice, dignity, and positive outcomes
- Support with care plans, risk assessments, and daily documentation
- Mentor and guide Support Workers to maintain high standards
- Participate in sleep-ins as required
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Previous Senior Support Worker or Team Leader experience desirable
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confident supporting individuals with complex needs
- Calm, resilient, and able to respond positively to challenging situations
- Passionate about promoting independence and quality of life
