A little more about your role…
We are seeking Wastewater Modellers to join our established team to deliver various projects for several of the UK’s largest regulated water companies. Our water team collaborates with diverse WSP business units, providing opportunities to work on exciting projects while serving our core clients.
This role will enable you to develop and apply your technical skills, helping us improve both technical quality and service efficiency.
You will support hydraulic modelling studies for our core regulated water clients using industry-standard software (InfoWorks ICM/CS). We also utilize TUFLOW, Causeway Flow, our in-house FRM, and other hydraulic modelling tools depending on client needs.
You will work with the team to interrogate and enhance existing models, as well as build new models to assess asset performance.
You will:
- Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support our wastewater team in delivering current and future projects, influencing our approaches to efficient delivery
- Assist in developing feasibility studies and optioneering
- Use network models to evaluate and optimise asset performance
- Prepare reports and supporting drawings
- Define work scope for field investigation teams
- Maintain excellent client relationships at all levels, coordinating project meetings internally and with clients
- Share knowledge to support team learning
- Promote the WSP brand through industry forums and conferences

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- A degree in engineering, environmental science, geography, or a related field
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM), or working towards chartership
- Strong knowledge and experience in urban drainage modelling, with the ability to review others\’ technical outputs
- Extensive experience in hydraulic modelling using industry-standard software, particularly InfoWorks ICM or similar
- Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo)
