The Director Global Medical Affairs will function as medical lead for dedicated projects driving the launch of Key Brand in Nephrology. This role focuses on building and executing the medical plan for launch activities and supporting cross-functional launch preparation ex-USA, while adhering to the highest scientific and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead medical strategy and serve as primary point of contact for the cross-functional global brand team
  • Act as subject matter expert with deep knowledge of the therapeutic indication and relevant clinical data
  • Build and execute global medical communication and tactical plans in collaboration with the medical team
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with global key opinion leaders (KOLs)
  • Develop and disseminate scientific communications, including support for the publication plan
  • Provide scientific and medical input to materials developed by commercial, HEOR, Access, and patient engagement teams
  • Create training materials and deliver internal and external scientific education
  • Act as trusted representative of Sobi in interactions with external collaborators, stakeholders, and partners
Qualifications
  • PhD or medical degree (MD) required
  • 5+ years of experience in a global medical affairs role, preferably within the rare disease space
  • Experience and ability to effectively engage and build relationships with key external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic and tactical medical plans
  • Strong history of delivering key medical affairs outputs and initiatives
  • Expertise in evaluating and analyzing medical/scientific literature with precision and accuracy
  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively to diverse audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
