The Global Launch Excellence Director - Nephrology is a critical leadership position within the Global Nephrology Commercialization team, responsible for coordinating and driving the successful implementation of global launch initiatives for Sobi’s C3G / IC-MPGN, across all territories. This role requires close collaboration with the Sr. Director of Global Marketing Nephrology, and the VP of Global Nephrology Commercialization, ensuring seamless alignment across commercial, medical, regulatory, access, tech ops and community engagement teams.
The Director will oversee global-to-local market preparation, including stakeholder engagement, tracking regulatory milestones, supporting medical affairs materials, and ensuring effective training and delivery of materials to affiliates. They will also lead the rollout of Medico-Marketing campaigns, contribute to the creation of the Core Value Proposition (CVP), strategic messaging, story flow, milestones, timelines, and KPIs, and provide objection handlers. Furthermore, the Director will support Market Access initiatives by providing training and materials to affiliates, ensuring that launch timelines and objectives are met.
As a key member of the Global Execution Team (GET), the Global Launch Excellence Director will work alongside the Marketing Director, Nephrology, to ensure that all functions are aligned with the overall strategy and clearly understand their deliverables and areas of accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate efficiently & timely Global Launch Plans: By effectively managing the launch process, ensures that the product is launched on time, meeting regional / affiliate market demands and maximizing opportunities.
- Monitor and track by producing dashboards that can inform decisions in order to guarantee product launch excellence.
- Tracks evolution pre & after launch per country by producing a Global Country Launch tracker deck that informs on all details by country and region across all Sobi territories.
- Risk Mitigation: By identifying and addressing potential risks, Launch Excellence Lead helps minimize disruptions and ensures a smoother launch process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate continuous alignment and communication between commercial, medical, regulatory, market access, and community engagement teams fostering a cohesive and coordinated effort towards a successful launch.
- Track Regulatory Milestones: Monitor and track regulatory approval milestones across key markets, ensuring timely updates to all stakeholders and proactive risk mitigation for potential delays.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Identify and engage key internal & external stakeholders, including Sobi senior leadership, external KOLs and healthcare providers, to ensure strong support for the product launch.
- Local Market Preparation: Oversee local market preparation activities by working closely with regional teams to adapt and execute global strategies tailored to local market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and cultural diversity.
- CVA and Core Messaging Development: Collaborate in the creation of the Core Value Proposition (CVA), strategic messaging, and story flow, ensuring alignment across all regions and that messaging resonates with both healthcare professionals and patients.
- Medico-Marketing Campaign Rollout: Lead the rollout of Medico-Marketing campaigns, ensuring that promotional materials are in alignment with both medical and marketing objectives and comply with regulatory guidelines.
- Training and Development: Work in collaboration with T&D team, and implement training programs, objection handling materials, for affiliates and local teams, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources to effectively communicate and promote the product.
- Support Market Access Initiatives: Assist in the development and execution of market access strategies, including providing market access teams with the appropriate materials, training, and guidance to facilitate product reimbursement and access across markets.
- Monitor Timelines and KPIs: Oversee the development and tracking of launch-related milestones, timelines, and KPIs, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and with high quality.
Operate with high ethical standards in line with the Sobi corporate values and SOPs by ensuring ongoing completion of all required initial and ongoing training in local regulations and policies, and adherence to those regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven solid experience of global pre-launch and launch activities in rare diseases and nephrology.
- Project Management skills and result-driven attitude.
- Strong brand management experience gained in at least 5 years in global roles and/or leadership roles in marketing/commercial departments.
- Knowledge of local operations and of implementation of multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Multi-stakeholder project management and leadership experience, delivering results on time and within budget.
- Additional commercial experiences including sales, market analytics and business intelligence would be a plus.
- University degree level education – medical/science based.
- Experience in Life Cycle Management.
- Ability to manage and coordinate external consultants and agencies.
- Demonstrable customer relationship management experience.
- Additional European language skill is desired.
