About The Role

The Planning Officer supports the Senior Planning Officers across the team’s key areas of work and plays an important role in the delivery of planning, analysis and statutory reporting activity. Main duties include:

  • Updating annual datasets (e.g. continuation) and dashboard
  • Producing and circulating league table and NSS analysis using established templates
  • Supporting HESA Student and HESES validation
  • Submitting Graduate Outcomes Survey contact details to HESA
  • Acting as the main point of contact for ad hoc information requests, including those received under the Freedom of Information Act

The role requires strong data skills, accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload to deadlines.

About The Department

The Planning team is part of the Provost’s Senior Leadership Team, providing business partnering, insight and analysis of student-related data and metrics UK and international including league tables, student experience surveys (NSS, PTES, PRES), TEF, REF and internal and external KPIs. The team is also responsible for submitting statutory returns, setting Student Number Targets and providing student number and fee income forecasts to inform the budget and annual planning process.
