About The Department

Registry is bringing together timetabling, examinations and room bookings into a newly established team, made up of an Examinations and Timetabling Manager, a Timetabling Lead Officer, an Examinations Lead Officer, and two Officer roles. This structure aims to strengthen coordination, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall experience for students and staff.

About The Role

The Examinations Lead Officer will lead the coordination, development and delivery of the University’s examinations timetable, including the effective planning, scheduling and administration of examinations across all programmes. Working as part of a newly established team in a fast‑paced environment, the post holder will deliver the full annual examinations cycle, from initial planning and data collection through to delivery and post‑examination activities, ensuring a high‑quality service for students and staff across the University.

The role requires a strong understanding of examinations processes and systems, along with the ability to work effectively with academic departments, IT, system users and key stakeholders. The Examinations Lead Officer will also produce operational reports to support oversight and ensure the accuracy and quality of examinations data. Working closely with the Examinations and Timetabling Manager and Officer(s), the role holder will maintain high standards and drive continuous process improvement.
