Function: Production Management | Crew Leadership | Shoot Delivery

Responsibility: Own the production process from brief to delivery — on time, on budget, every time.

Reports to: Senior Producer

Location: Full-time | Hambi Media MCR Studio, Central Manchester (1 day in studio / 3 days on set per week)

Overview: The Soar Group is one of the UK’s fastest‑growing performance agency groups, home to three specialist agencies. Together, the group manages over £100M in ad spend, works with category‑leading D2C brands, and operates the UK’s largest Creative Strategy department with design, production, strategy, and UGC all under one roof.

The Role: We’re hiring a Video Producer to own the operational engine behind our Manchester production output. This is a production management role - you’ll be the person who makes shoots happen, ensures budgets are hit, timelines are met, and the creative team has everything they need to do their best work on set.

  • 2–4 years' experience in a production role, ideally within an agency, commercial, or branded content environment
  • Strong organisational skills — you can manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Proven experience managing production budgets and shoot schedules across multiple productions simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills across clients, crew and internal teams
  • Calm under pressure with a track record of solving problems quickly on set
  • A working understanding of social‑first content formats (Meta, TikTok) and what makes performance creative effective
  • Experience in D2C, advertising, or branded content production is strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Line‑manage the Video Director and Videographer in your crew as direct reports — owning their schedules, wellbeing, development and performance accountability
  • Run regular 1:1s with both crew members, focused on their performance, development and day‑to‑day experience in the team
  • Give clear, timely feedback to both crew members - capture learnings from every shoot and feed them back into future productions
  • Own brief intake and clarity: ensure every shoot brief is complete and production‑ready before it reaches the crew
  • Own pre‑production end‑to‑end: budgeting, scheduling, casting, location sourcing, props, talent coordination and call sheets
  • Attend Production Planning Meetings (PPMs) prepared with a full picture of your crew's workload, upcoming shoots, scheduling constraints and any delivery risks
  • Manage shoot‑day operations on occasion - keeping crew, clients and talent on schedule and on brief
  • Actively gather post‑shoot feedback from clients, Account Managers and crew - Sharing this with relevant team members
  • Manage and track production budgets across multiple concurrent projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with freelance crew, casting contacts and suppliers
  • Flag delivery risks, crew issues or resourcing constraints to the Senior Producer before they become problems

What Success Looks Like: In your first 90 days, you’ll have run multiple shoots end‑to‑end, established tight pre‑production processes, and be trusted by the team to manage client touchpoints independently. Within 6 months, you’ll be a reliable operational partner to our Directors and Strategists.

Attitude: You’re a natural problem‑solver who finds real satisfaction in a smooth, well‑run production. You take ownership of the logistics so the creative team can focus entirely on the work. You’re proactive, detail‑oriented, and thrive in a fast‑moving environment where priorities can shift.

Benefits:

  • 28 days paid holiday including birthday leave, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve
  • Long‑service holiday scheme: After 2 years’ service, you’ll receive 1 extra day of annual leave for every year of service
  • Flexible and hybrid working (2 days in office)
  • Regular team socials
  • Company Private Health and life insurance scheme
  • Company pension scheme
  • Work abroad for 1 month a year
  • Full‑time Manchester‑based role (1 day studio / 3 days on set per week)
