Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled
Red Hat Administrator with hands-on experience in migrating Linux environments from CentOS to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and upgrading our Linux infrastructure, ensuring a seamless migration and minimizing downtime. This role demands deep expertise in Linux system administration, automation, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage the migration of existing CentOS servers to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Install, configure, and maintain RHEL systems across physical and virtual environments.
- Monitor system performance and implement tuning to optimize availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Bash, Ansible) to streamline system deployment and configuration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system security, compliance, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to OS, networking, and storage.
- Manage system backups, patches, and upgrades.
- Document migration processes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide support for Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat subscription management, and other Red Hat tools.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Linux Administrator, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS.
- Hands-on experience in migrating systems/ Applications from CentOS to RHEL.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system internals, networking, security, and file systems.
- Proficiency with automation/configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., KVM, VMware).
- Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification preferred
