We're hiring a Podcast Executive to take ownership of the group's video content strategy across YouTube, podcasting platforms and other social channels. You’ll lead the end-to-end strategy including concepting, scripting, briefing and distribution. This is a high impact role for a passionate content marketing individual who has a passion for podcasting and video content, and wants to accelerate the brand's awareness and positioning in the market.

Leading the strategy across all video content and the D2C Diaries podcast across YouTube, podcast network and other relevant channels. Generating proven ideas, briefs and scripts backed by key market insights, research and data. You have a deep understanding of the key content marketing pillars to capture and hold the viewers' attention. Working with the video editors on briefs, edits, trailers and clips. Working with the graphic designer to brief in scroll-stopping, clickable thumbnails. A/B testing thumbnails on YouTube & via other strategies. Scheduling, posting and managing content on YouTube and the podcast network. Along with working with other channel stakeholders to distribute content. Analyse performance, pull insights, and strive to apply a data-driven approach to improvement over time. Refining strategy to ensure we are maximising reach and achieving key business objectives. Keep up to date with eCommerce and marketing best practices of today and tomorrow through training and research. Effectively communicate and collaborate via Slack, Google Meets. Embody our core culture pillars daily.
Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to manage content schedules, concept and script videos.
- Strong understanding of how to succeed on platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in content marketing, podcasting and content distribution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to change and adapt your writing style based on who you are creating content for different video mediums.
- High-level attention to detail, comprehension, and creativity.
- The ability to co-ordinate with other channel stakeholders to distribute content.
- Knowledge of other channels that could be leveraged as part of our video content strategy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for all things marketing, e-commerce, podcasting and video content.

- 6 Months: You have developed good relationships with all members of the team. You’ve worked out what they’re good at, what they’re passionate about, and how you can lean on their knowledge to provide key insights to use in our content. You have a rock-solid understanding of how we operate, our core values. You’ve actively learned about any areas that are key to our operations so you can communicate effectively and confidently with anyone about them. You have a clear understanding of who you are creating content for and ensuring it’s going to resonate with them, drive engagement, and ultimately build a following and presence in the e-commerce space in the UK and beyond. You have started to refine the current strategy, test new ideas and taking learnings into future growth initiatives.
- 12 Months: You have evolved the video content strategy across the D2C Diaries and other channels that is growing the audience's size, engagement and overall business impact. You are working on bigger projects, collaborating with management and the founders. You have actively tested a bunch of new hypotheses and generated a bunch of wins, insights and lessons to inform the future evolution of the strategy. It’s clear to anyone looking at our content that we’re market leaders, experts in our field, and constantly pushing boundaries. DTC business owners are actively seeking out and engaging with our content, looking to what we produce to drive their businesses forwards and sharing to their networks. You are constantly reviewing the content that’s being produced, reporting insights and action points to management, and actively looking for areas we can improve and opportunities we can take advantage of.
