About the Role: We’re looking for a curious, organised and ambitious Junior Marketing Executive to join Soap Media’s marketing department. This is a great opportunity for someone at the early stage of their marketing career who wants to learn how modern, multi-channel digital marketing works inside a full-service agency. You’ll work closely with experienced marketers across SEO, paid media, content, organic social and internal Soap marketing, helping with the research, implementation and coordination tasks that keep activity moving. This is a junior role, so you will not be expected to know everything from day one or own strategy independently. You’ll be given clear briefs, workflows and processes to follow. Your role is to support the leg work that sits beneath bigger marketing tasks, helping senior specialists spend more time on strategy, performance, client impact and higher-value thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- SEO & Content Support: Support SEO specialists with clearly briefed research, content and implementation tasks. Help gather keyword, competitor and content gap research using agreed processes. Assist with preparing metadata, content updates, internal linking recommendations and on-page support. Help with website content uploads, formatting and basic optimisation where required. Support content refresh tasks by gathering information, checking existing pages and helping organise recommendations. Help collate information for SEO audits, roadmaps and reports. Follow established workflows carefully, asking questions where anything is unclear.
- Soap Marketing Support: Support Soap’s own marketing activity across website, organic social, email and content. Help repurpose internal insight, case studies, reports and campaign work into marketing content. Assist with drafting, scheduling and organising organic social posts. Support the creation and maintenance of Soap marketing assets, including blogs, case studies, landing pages and newsletters. Help keep Soap’s marketing activity consistent, organised and aligned with wider goals. Support internal marketing campaigns by helping gather examples, screenshots, notes and source material.
- Organic Social & Content Coordination: Support organic social media planning, scheduling and reporting. Help identify content opportunities from internal expertise, client work, industry updates and campaign activity. Assist with social post formatting, caption drafting and asset coordination. Monitor activity and gather basic engagement insights. Help ensure content is published accurately and on time. Maintain organised social calendars, trackers and content documents.
- Marketing Research & Reporting: Carry out competitor, market and audience research to support senior marketers. Help collate data and examples for reports, audits, proposals and recommendations. Support the preparation of performance summaries, screenshots and supporting evidence. Maintain organised research documents, trackers and shared resources. Help turn raw information into useful, structured inputs for senior team members. Support recurring reporting tasks by following agreed templates and processes.
- Wider Marketing Department Support: Support senior marketing team members across SEO, paid media, content and social where appropriate. Help with the implementation, QA, research and organisation tasks that free specialists to focus on strategy and higher-impact work. Assist with campaign preparation, content population, reporting preparation or research tasks. Work collaboratively within the marketing department to understand how different channels support each other.
What Success Looks Like: In this role, success means senior marketers feel better supported, marketing activity moves more smoothly, and your own understanding of digital marketing grows quickly. It also means tasks are completed accurately, briefs are followed properly, questions are asked early, and your work helps create more time for experienced specialists to focus on strategy, performance and client impact.
After 3 months, you should be:
- Confident in Soap’s core marketing tools, processes and ways of working.
- Supporting research, content and organic social tasks with guidance.
- Building relationships with marketing specialists across the agency.
- Developing a basic understanding of SEO, paid media, content and reporting workflows.
After 6 months, you should be:
- Completing regular marketing support tasks with greater independence.
- Contributing to Soap’s own marketing activity.
- Helping prepare useful research, reporting and content inputs.
- Following established workflows accurately and consistently.
- Spotting opportunities to improve how recurring tasks are organised or delivered.
After 12 months, you should be:
- A reliable support point within the marketing department.
- Confident handling a range of SEO, content, social and research tasks.
- Developing stronger digital marketing judgement.
- Contributing to smoother delivery, better internal marketing and stronger campaign support.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Some experience, study or strong interest in digital marketing.
- Good written communication skills.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence researching topics, competitors and markets.
- Willingness to learn across multiple marketing channels.
- Ability to follow briefs, workflows and processes accurately.
- Comfortable working remotely while keeping communication visible.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to ask questions when something is unclear.
- Basic understanding of SEO, social media or content marketing.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience using WordPress or another CMS.
- Experience scheduling organic social media content.
- Basic understanding of SEO tools, Google Analytics, Google Search Console or keyword research tools.
- Familiarity with paid media, email marketing or reporting platforms.
- Experience writing or editing blogs, social posts or website content.
- Marketing qualification, degree or relevant training.
- Previous experience in a marketing team, agency, placement or internship.
