ABOUT THE ROLE
The Packaging Plant Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing all packaging and container loading operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely product dispatch. The role is responsible for coordinating packaging, logistics, and transport activities to optimise workflow, maintain inventory accuracy, and support smooth end‑to‑end supply chain operations.
Your impact will be felt through:
- You will be the operational heartbeat of the packaging plant, ensuring daily activities run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with standards.
- Supervise Reach Stacker Operators and Packaging Operators to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate handling of containers and packaging processes while maintaining compliance with operational standards, safety regulations, and production targets.
- Oversee packaging processes, container loading, labelling, and batch recording with precision.
- Manage container yard operations, including inspections, storage, and equipment readiness.
- Coordinate closely with logistics and transport providers to ensure timely dispatch and minimal delays.
- Maintain accurate inventory, consumables tracking, and packaging data to support reporting and compliance.
- Analyze performance trends, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Uphold the highest safety standards and ensure all activities meet regulatory and company requirements.
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced, hands‑on leader with a strong background in packaging, logistics, or supply chain operations. You thrive in fast‑paced environments and make confident decisions under pressure. You will come with:
- 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role within packaging, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
- Completion of minimum requirements to satisfy Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor requirements.
- Strong knowledge of container loading, yard management, and packaging equipment.
- Load Restraint training required.
- Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Training (advantageous).
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Pronto, and Aconex.
