As a Company, We Live By Six Core Values That Guide Everything We Do Clear Honest Ambitious Inquisitive Caring Sustainable The Role Copy Writer at SO ENERGY We are seeking a Copywriter to shape how So Energy speaks to the world. In this role you will define our tone of voice and ensure clarity and consistency across all our customer facing communications. As an experienced copywriter or content designer, you will ensure all our communications build trust, increase engagement and bring to life our mission of sustainable energy for every home. You will possess the ability to explain complex propositions using simple language and bring a strategic perspective on positioning, messaging and copy. You will be comfortable getting hands-on and producing compelling copy for customer comms, emails, web pages, blogs, guides, advertising and beyond in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Reporting into our Marketing Manager, Lou Cannon Who you\'ll be working with? This role requires effective collaboration with teams across So Energy including marketing, product, technology, customer operations, propositions, solar, regulations and the people team. You will be a visible and proactive voice within the business, with the ability to prioritise and manage briefs from a range of stakeholders. What Youll Be Getting Up To Define and evolve our brand tone of voice, ensuring consistency across internal and external channels. Develop copy guidelines and content strategy, empowering our people to deliver a consistent experience. Provide training and support for teams on positioning, tone of voice and messaging best practice. Translate complex energy jargon and propositions into simple and persuasive language for customers. Work with legal, compliance and regulatory teams to ensure transparency and mitigate risks. Create high-quality copy for a range of customer facing communications including email, website, advertising and more. Collaborate with the Content Manager on website optimisation, SEO and organic social as required. Work with Product and UX Design teams to ensure accessible and effective digital user journeys. Play an active role in wider Brand, Marketing and Growth initiatives including product marketing and creative campaigns. This role will be a great fit if: Proven experience in copywriting, content design and UX writing, ideally within energy or a similar regulated sector. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and craft compelling messaging. Strong understanding of brand positioning and the role that language plays in shaping customer experience. Experience in defining tone of voice, developing copy guidelines, writing to brief and providing feedback. Adaptable and resilient, comfortable developing high-quality copy in a fast-paced environment.
