Staff Developer Advocate – locations: Portugal (Lisbon) and United Kingdom (London). Full-time role posted today. We’re looking for an experienced Developer Advocate with hands-on development skills to educate developers about AI Security and to build demonstrations and content that showcase Snyk’s products.
As a Developer Advocate, you will educate developers about AI security, lead AI security research work, and create engaging engineering projects and content. Your work will support DevRel and other teams, and deliverables will include demos, integrations, and educational material for developers and security practitioners. We foster a warm, inclusive environment and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. This role is based in an office location and involves collaboration with product and marketing teams to promote deliverables and support product launches.
What You’ll Do- Actively build applications and demos that demonstrate AI-related security issues and vulnerabilities, highlighting Snyk products in detecting, fixing, and addressing these issues.
- Collaborate with Snyk’s security research team, marketing leaders, and other peers to build demos and applications for presentations, events, and web deployment to educate and engage developers and security practitioners.
- Translate engineering projects into event talks, videos, articles, and other content to reach developers and engage them about the AI security domain.
- Work with product teams to provide early feedback representing the voice of developers and support product releases and launches.
- Present at events, conferences, and community gatherings in the region, and meet with Snyk customers and prospects.
- Research-to-content production of AI security projects that effectively showcase Snyk products.
- Past experience as a software developer and/or hands-on software engineering capabilities; understanding of SDLC, Cloud Native application development, CI/CD practices, and deployment of software projects.
- Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience producing high-quality educational content (video or written).
- Practical experience with AI coding agents, AI-related workflows, and AI technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in Developer Relations or similar roles.
- Are passionate about educating developers and decision makers; passionate about developer security and solving application security issues.
- Are passionate about the role Snyk plays in securing AI-generated code in modern LLM-driven coding workflows.
