Competitive Pay + Work-Life Balance
- Hybrid Calendar - providing 11 additional paid days to 10-month employees over a traditional school calendar; 12-month employees get Fridays off in the summer
- NEW Base Teacher Pay Scale: $44,000-$72,000 + Additional Earning Possibilities: Academic, leadership, performing arts, special education, sponsor, UIL, and athletic stipends

What is a Hybrid Calendar? At Snyder ISD, we want to surround our students with the best. To recruit and retain top-tier staff, the Board of Trustees voted to adopt a HYBRID calendar beginning in 20023. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the calendar, the Board of Trustees has repeatedly voted for it to continue. The calendar was designed with input from parents, students, staff, and the community to account for attendance, maximize school time, and improve school/work-life balance.
Why Snyder, Texas? Snyder is a city with about 12,000 residents located in friendly West Texas. Beautiful city parks, running and biking trails, 2 golf courses, and a pool with a splash pad. Restaurants, gyms, grocery and big box stores, and charming boutique shopping. Local hospital system and clinic. Bowling alley & skating rink. Community theatre & festivals. Western Texas College. Hunting and fishing. West Texas sunsets. Cost of living 11% below the national average. 3 1/2 hours to Fort Worth. About an hour to Lubbock, Abilene, or Midland.
