This is a senior-level private client tax role, offering a mix of complex compliance and high-level advisory work. The individual will manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth clients, including UK and non-resident individuals, partnerships, private landlords, and entrepreneurs. The role includes direct client management, staff mentoring, technical reviews, and delivery of bespoke tax planning strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of complex private clients, acting as the primary point of contact
- Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns for HNWIs, partnerships, and landlords
- Attend client meetings and develop strong, trusted relationships
- Provide tax planning and advisory support across areas such as:
- Residence and domicile
- Non-resident taxation
- Family Investment Companies (FICs)
- Trusts and inheritance tax
- Ad hoc planning related to international and UK tax matters
- Strong experience in private client tax compliance and advisory, including complex clients and international issues
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio, including budgeting and billing
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously
- CTA qualified (preferred)
- Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
