Programme management team objectives
SNRG is set up to deploy capital into infrastructure (SmartGrids) projects and generate recurring revenue from supply or energy and services. With that in mind, the importance of managing the process, including efficient and effective governance, and our resources is critical to our success. We also need to ensure that we are able to report on the progress and performance of our projects in a way that allows the business and our shareholders to plan effectively. The list below summarises the key objectives for our Programme Management function:
- Maximise the efficiency of our internal project lifecycle.
- Govern our internal project lifecycle (and projects as they pass through the lifecycle) to ensure effective control of project risks, deployment of resources, and our investment decisions.
- Provide robust and transparent reports of project and pipeline progress, resource utilisation and project lifecycle KPIs.
- Contribute to SNRG’s efforts to maximise profitability of our projects - achieve or exceed SNRG’s IRR targets.
- Team development - create a high performance and highly effective team that is capable of scaling SNRG’s presence in its B2B markets
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the successful delivery of the Programme Management Team Objectives
- The focus of the Programme Management Team (SmartGrids) will focus on SmartGrid projects and products.
- Notwithstanding, from time to time there will be a requirement to support the activities of the SNRG’s Group activities.
Project Sales
- Work with the SmartGrids Sales, Commercial and Solutions Teams to effectively manage projects through the project lifecycle from Opportunity stage through to Operational Handover.
- Leading on coordinating SNRG’s large SmartGrid projects in the contracting and contracted stages.
- Coordinating the project tasks and communication internally and with the client and their project team.
- Key individual project tasks:
- Coordinating SNRG’s internal technical, commercial, marketing and operational resources to effectively manage SNRG’s project through its lifecycle
- Identifying and resolving process and product gaps that are required to enable projects to progress
- Setting up and maintaining the key standard Project Management documentation and tools to manage the risk for SNRG
- Owning the project plan
- Providing project lifecycle reporting on the scheme, with a particular focus on ensuring accurate reporting on project progress and performance against business KPIs
- Ensuring that the project follows the governance framework (see Governance section below), including stage gate (PAB) sign offs and sub-stage reviews (e.g. commercial offer review)
- Ensuring the whole SmartGrids business unit adopts a robust and auditable documentation control methodology to support transparency and tracking of key design and investment decisions.
Project Governance
- Administer the internal project lifecycle processes.
- Ensure projects receive the appropriate internal approvals from accountable parties at each stage of their development cycle.
- Develop and manage document control systems to ensure offer development, decision making, contracting, handovers and change control are fully auditable.
- Develop and administer a change control process to manage SNRG’s investment risk during the construction and operational phases of our SmartGrid projects.
