We are seeking an Operations Support Manager - Equipment Hire to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide strong leadership across the venue, ensuring excellent guest experiences, operational efficiency and consistently high standards.

The role will be responsible for leading and developing team members working both on and off the slope.

You will support the Senior Manager on Duty function, including venue opening and closing.

Key responsibilities include people management, recruitment, coaching and performance development, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and effective communication across the department.

The successful candidate will be a confident, proactive leader with excellent organisational and communication skills, a strong focus on safety and guest service, and the ability to identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency and commercial results.

Strategic management

  • 1) Ensure all guests receive the best possible greeting upon entering the venue and at the equipment hire desk.
  • 2) Ensure that a First Aider is always on duty.
  • 3) Ensure the equipment hire team undertakes regular maintenance and repairs for all hardware equipment.
  • 4) Ensure that rental equipment is cleaned sanitised immediately upon guests returning them.
  • 5) Ensure that ticket checks are conducted every 30 minutes and that guests are professionally notified when close to ticket expiry.
  • 6) Undertake the management for stock and order control across all merchandise and hardware.
  • 7) Ensure the equipment hire team are working effectively on the slope, engaging guests positively and attending to guests in need.
  • The Person
  • Strong operational knowledge across leisure, hospitality and/or retail industries.
  • Experience in people leadership and driving performance.
  • Excellent guest service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills.
  • To be able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and enjoy it
  • Commercial thinking, the ability to increase revenue through up-selling.
  • To be able to manage the team and resources available to ensure that the departments are equipped for service via cost controls, stock monitoring and good rota management.
  • Ability to communicate to and motivate the team providing day-to-day leadership and direction.
  • Exhibits strong judgement, drive and influencing skills.
